"In an era of infinite content, the stories that matter still rely on the oldest tools we have: good questions, deep conversations, and genuine curiosity for the people around us."
Miguel is a journalist, storyteller, futurist and strategic communications specialist who uses narrative, memory, and multimedia design to advance social change. With experience spanning reporting, documentary storytelling, peacebuilding, and human rights work, Miguel has written for outlets including Global Voices, Vice, El Espectador, La Silla Vacía, and Cerosetenta, and later co-founded and led the Viva Voz Fellowship at Memria—supporting 34 community leaders across Colombia to produce podcasts and short documentaries on transitional justice and reconciliation. He has managed and designed campaigns that brought the Colombian Truth Commission’s findings to broader audiences, and has documented and analyzed hundreds of testimonies from human rights defenders and migrant communities across the world. A former journalism professor at Universidad de los Andes, Miguel brings a rare blend of narrative craft, political sensitivity, and deep listening to every project. He holds graduate and undergraduate degrees in journalism, anthropology, and psychology from Universidad de los Andes, and is committed to helping movements tell stories that spark empathy, shift narratives, and strengthen collective memory.
