“Our strategies are often stuck in the past. Rogue Futurism helps us spot what we’re not seeing—and open up futures we didn’t even know were possible.”

Paul Graham Raven is a writer, researcher, and critical futures practitioner whose work sits at the intersection of science fiction and futures thinking. He is an author and critic of speculative fiction, a foresight consultant and worldbuilder, and the founder of Magrathea Futures AB, a foresight practice built around the idea that the best way to think about the future is to tell stories about it from the inside.

His doctoral research proposed a narrative prototyping methodology for infrastructure foresight. His fiction has appeared in The Year's Best Science Fiction and other anthologies. He has lectured, facilitated, and taught on three continents.

Paul believes that stories about futures are not decoration; they are one of the primary ways human beings actually change their minds about what is possible. Rogue Worldbuilding is his method for teaching others to use that tool.
